Congratulations to the winners of our first ever We Want Your Sugar Skull contest! We had hundreds of entries, and it was tough picking our winners, because we loved so many of the unique skulls we were sent, but after some tough decisions we narrowed it down to these three skulls.
Our first place winner Pepper Anne's entry was of a Glamour Kills sugar skull, which, from her descriptions: 'Is a personal take on a modern day sugar skull crossed with a tibetan kapala skull. It also represents what we today find desirable; body modification, jewelery, diamonds and gold. '
Our Runner's up Scott J. and Gina C. turned in a Green Lady Sugar Skull illustration and hand molded and decorated polystyrene sugar skulls, respectively. Great work, everyone!
Congrats winners!!!!
ReplyDeleteSo basically...the person who won is an artist for Glamour Kills...which is one of your clothing vendors...Well that's nice to know

ReplyDeleteThe winner was chosen by a voting system and I can assure you it was based on Creativity, Effort, Sheer Awesomeness and Bonus points for adding something Sourpuss related into the artwork (which this skull has finally detailed wording in the teeth that says "Sourpuss". In addition sorry Miranda, we do not carry a brand called Glamour Kills?
ReplyDeleteMiranda...Sour grapes.
