Creative/Technical Fashion Designer for Juniors

Sourpuss Clothing is looking to hire an apparel designer to join our team. We are a smaller independent company specializing in juniors subculture inspired clothing including (punk, tattoo, pinup design). The ideal candidate will have these influences.
You would be responsible for sketching garments, initial garment specs, factory tech packs and attending fittings.
We are located in Pennsauken NJ. -- You must be able to work in house or if you are a freelance designer-travel to our location on a weekly basis. The ideal candidate will be creative and technical with an extensive knowledge of fabrics and trim.

Job Description:
• Create sketches for knit and woven juniors garments
• Develop a Spec sheet for garments
• Must be able to relay full technical details/measurements: including fabric, trim and embellishments to factory
• Fit samples and update factory with changes

Job Requirements:
• Knowledge of Apparel design and garment production from start to finish
• Strong knowledge of fabrics
• Minimum 2 years experience with technical fashion design
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Computer Graphics experience with knowledge in Photoshop and Illustrator
• Follower of current fashion trends
